Sailing on a Catamaran
Today, we went sailing on a catamaran and saw humpback whales and some dolphins, but they were too far away for a good photo. We used the last day of our Oahu Go Card to spend 4 hours on the open ocean with Makani Catarman. It was a blast! I've never been on a sailboat before and have always wanted to try. The sea was not very choppy and we didn't get wet from any waves. Bummer! lol... We cruised the length of Waikiki and went out past Diamond Head and back. We got some cool photos and video. I'll post some video in the Videos section soon. I promise! Anyhow our sailboat ride was really relaxing. I got a little burnt cause I forgot to put sunscreen in certain places. I always seem to do this...lol.
After getting back from our seafaring adventure, we drove the car to Hilo Hattie and did a little gift shopping. If you're ever in Honolulu, this is the place to purchase those gifts for loved ones back home. I snagged two cool Hawaii calendars on sale for $.99 for both! I also picked up a couple boxes of chocolate covered macademia nuts. What a Hawaiian vacation without some macademia nuts?
We stopped by the Ala Moana Shopping Center on the way back before we ate dinner. This open air mall is pretty cool to walk through and window shop. I ended up finding more clothes at Banana Republic, so I didn't leave there empty handed.
