Since it's the winter season in Hawaii, the nice weather can be a hit or miss. The last couple days have been a miss with inconsistent rain and some chilly weather. It's not as chilly as Alaska, but today I was getting goose bumps in Hawaii for the first time ever. I didn't think to bring a sweat shirt or anything with me today, so I had a few moments of goose bumps. Let's hope the weather clears up for the last 4 days of our stay here so I can get some Vitamin D...lol.

Today we rented a car out for the rest of our stay. We've grown tired of walking all over Waikiki and Honolulu the last few days and have decided to cruise the island. My calf muscles and feet are feeling the burn! The next few days we'll be doing some activities around the island using our Go Oahu cards. I still have to schedule the Polynesian Cultural Center and our kayak rental.

After renting our sweet ride from Advantage car rental, we drove to some outlet shops in Pearl City for a little shopping action. Olya didn't find anything to her liking, but I found some killer prices on Chinos and sweaters from Banana Republic's outlet store. The prices were ridiculously low so I splurged a little...I need some new threads for work anyhow. :)

We decided to eat at a sushi place after shopping and tried one of those conveyor belt places where you grab a small plate off the belt and you get charged for the color on the plate. The sushi was very low in quality and some of the dishes looked like they've been going round and round for a few hours. Yuck! It was disgusting… Thankfully, good 'ol Chili’s was next door for some familiar soup and salad.

For the rest of the afternoon we headed to the North Shore to hang out in Haleiwa Town. On the way there we stopped at the Dole Plantation for some world famous pineapple soft serve ice cream. We found out that they have expanded their gift store. It's really big now with much more product than a couple years ago. The ice cream is still served with fresh pineapple chunks as topping, and it's delicious!

We drove up to Haleiwa town and it was raining pretty hard up there. It was getting dark also, so we ducked into the Surf'N'Sea shop to check on their t-shirts and other cool clothing and headed back to Waikiki for dinner. We ended up back at the Yard House again since we had a $50 certificate from attending the timeshare demonstration. We had a much better experience this time around...
